I’ve been traveling, living, and working in Costa Rica for over twenty years. I love this place, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than helping someone experience this lovely diverse country.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand the rhythm of the country — not from a guidebook, but from experiencing it across seasons and stages of life.

I created Deep Current from a deep understanding of what it takes to plan a trip that feels thoughtful, well-paced, and genuinely enjoyable. When you work with me, you’re not just getting an itinerary you’re getting someone who can’t wait to share the Costa Rica I know and love.

My network in Costa Rica runs deep. My trusted guides, drivers, property managers, doctors, wellness providers, are the kind of local contacts you simply can't find online. They are my friends. Whatever you need, I more than likely know exactly have the right contact.

I split my time between Fort Collins, Colorado and Costa Rica — where you'll find me with my husband, a pair of Jack Russells, and two boys who are somewhere between high school and college and growing up far too fast.

How Deep Current began

Before Costa Rica became such a central part of my life, I built a career in international business, driven by a love of language and culture. I studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain, earned a Master’s Degree in International Business, lived and worked in Mexico, and spent years developing markets across Latin America. I speak Spanish fluently which, in Costa Rica, makes all the difference.

Long before Deep Current existed, friends started coming to me whenever they were planning a trip to Costa Rica. Could I recommend a driver? A hidden beach? The right place to stay with kids? Help planning a special event or multi stop trip? Those conversations naturally turned into full itineraries, and again and again I heard the same thing: their trip wouldn’t have been the same without that guidance.

Then a few years ago, a friend asked me to open a boutique hotel in Tamarindo from the ground up. I had never done anything like it — and I loved every minute.

The relationships, the logistics, the joy that I felt from shaping every detail and making each guest’s experience special was what made everything click into place and Deep Current was born.
